Makeup Look: Blue liner & warm neutrals

This makeup look is giving:

“ You’re hot, then you’re cold!”

when you look in the mirror, the contrast of the cool blue against the warm neutral shades will produce the same amount of serotonin as tiny waves crashing along a sandy beach during a golden hour sunset. Promise.

the blue i used is a must have in your makeup arsenal. Urban decay 24/7 eyeliners are a formulation not to be FUxxxed with, okay? it glides on like peanut butter and stays (clap) all (Clap) Day (clap). the shade range is unmatched. this particular blue is not only cool and beautiful, it also has an electric pop to it, do you agree? incorporating blue into a makeup look always sounds risky. rather than reaching for a deep navy or light sky blue, the boldness of this shade keeps the look fun and airy.

even if you’re not an adventurous, spontaneous queen… you’re gonna look like one today and the world will not be able to resist to invite you into an interesting conversation upon one gaze.

listen, if you go off of the light nude palette for this look, things could start to look funky. the contour, blush and lip in a light bronzey brown is intentional. it all circles around these amber glowing diamond eyes. Think of it as a warm ring of light that frames your artwork.

going a shade lighter on your lips can sound a bit scary and i’m sure there is some type of rule on the internet against it. the key is to line the lip just one shade deeper. don’t make the contrast intense unless you are seeking a 2000’s kim mathers aesthetic. in that case i’d go for the navy blue eyeshadow- full lid and that’s a whole other blog post for another time.

All of the products used are listed in the description section of the youtube video and on shop my shelf.
